About Our School

We have created a “Partnership in Learning” with our students, their families and the community. Families start the year in small group meetings with teachers focused on student achievement and expectations. Grade level teams host additional opportunities for family involvement throughout the year.  We also hold other family events each year to promote new ways of connecting home and school.  We know that our children will be the most successful when families and staff work together and are committed to keeping communication open.

Besides our focus on academics, Wilson offers a large variety of student clubs for students to participate in, including: Garden Club, Art Club, Lego Team, Student Council, Cadets, Recycling Club, Running Club, Yoga Club, PBIS Student Team and Peer Mediators.  We have real life projects that challenge student knowledge and ways of thinking. Students work on both independent tasks along with collaborative ones to come together as a group.

Our staff members work diligently to co-create academic goals with students, develop instructional strategies to ensure all students meet the goals and assess student progress. As a Title I school, we are able to offer additional services to students in the areas of literacy and math. In addition, we are able to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students.

The Wilson School community is proud of its accomplishments, including National Blue Ribbon School status, 10 consecutive years of being a Wisconsin School of Recognition, and Wisconsin Spotlight School status.

We look forward to continued academic growth for our students!
